No one is going to buy their own cars. Transport as a service will come so fast that people cannot even imaging. The day is not far when you will be travelling in a car or a bus without any steering or driver.

Technology companies are going to drive everything in the future using the latest technologies and sell everything as a service.

The technology behind will be Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence. The vehicles will handle disaster and would have the capability to selfheal. Obviously, the look of the vehicles is going to be much different with what even we can imagine now.

Highway driverless driving is almost solved while the city or urban driverless traffic is being worked upon where an enormous amount of decision making and automation with machine learning is a primary aspect. Obviously, the regulations must be modified to suit the aspects of the modern driverless traffic with proper sync along with human intervention or departments.
